Christmas bells are ringing!

Woot woot! what a day! okie i officially broke! FT1 is sitting at cycle worx for now. Took kenneth aka ah hock about half an hr to fit me to the bike, asking me questions here and there. We both came to a conclusion that along the way the bike would be tweaked to my liking. But all in all i LOVE MY NEW RIDE! Now i just need to get meself a set of wheels!

The elf's came over today to help us put up the Christmas deco around the house. Must i say it was fun, having friends and family putting up stuff. So now our house is all nicely done up. I'll put up the pics another time. It's in my other cam. Stone, nat, JX and adam came over for dinner as well. We had shepherds pie, chicken curry, fish curry, prata and stuff. It's like 1 big happy family. Fun fun fun. Putting up the trees and the stuff. The stars on the celling and the angels. Took about 3 hrs to get it all done. I must say we did a good job! Okie tired... i'll try to go for a short run tomorrow in the morning see if me legs are okie. Cycling back from cycle worx just now i still felt abit fatigue!

End of the year!

Well all i can say is woot! The race yr has come to an end well for me that is. All in all i've to say not bad for my first race yr. Nus bi, Trifam sprint, Osim tri( but did not do it, washing up would have taken longer then the race itself, 70.3 and SCSM 21km. All i hope is i can keep on going and doing all of this. Really feels good. Meet great ppl which i say all the time. Make really good friends along the way. Well i'm not much for one to stay still. Or my attention span is rather short as my friend would put it, but then again i've always done tri so don't see how i would be stopping. Just have not been doing it for yrs till now!

Well, back to yesterday. Did the 21km in 2hrs 5mins. Personal best for now. Once again i say for now. I sure going under 2hrs is not a problem now. Funny how we always think it is not possible. I was gunning for 2hrs 15mins but i shaved off 10 mins of the run. Amazing i say. But one mistake was i started to far back. I always seem to do that no idea why, maybe i don't have the confidence in me as of yet to start in the front. I should change that from now on. Then i would not have to side step so many people during the run. But then i thank the people who were in front of me, allowed me to play catch up. I guess that's how i manage to run faster as well. I guess i always like to start from behind an make my way up passing ppl. Rather be the type that starts in front an stays in front. Well i guess if i more confident i can just start from the front.

So during the run, i just looked out for a target that was in front of me an told myself i have to over take him/her. I want to look for the 2hr 15min pacer group at the start of the race but could not find them. I caught up with them somewhere around the 14k mark. Over took them, an knew that maybe i could do a faster time. So i decided to push myself abit hard. Keep my head up looking for Lloyd. Since he is the 2hr pacer, but culd not find him. I say ken though but he's in the 1hr 45min group plus he was on the otherside of nicole HW no way in hell am i going to catch up with him. I slowed down at the nicole HW part as the sun was beating down at that time and there was no water station in sight. Once we got back in to raffles bvld it was all okie. Once i turned down the corner out of marine square i picked up the pace, after cricket club i was trying to sprint my way to the finish line but there were just way to many ppl. But all in all i say good race and i'm not complaining! :) only thing is my legs are screaming now hahahaha but worth it! Okie part 2 in abit which is my trip to JB!

2 more days!

As my title shows, here i come scsm. Well i'm only doing the 21km heh. Anyway, it's just for fun something to keep me training so i don't get fat. For the ppl that know me i was rather round face last yr hehehehe ... but then i weight myself yesterday an guess whatttt ... sob sob i put on 2kg ... i blame all the waffles that i have eaten at haato's ... so i have to cut down on that one. No more full ones, just half from now on... well someone said she'll have 1/4 of it and i can have the other 3/4 i guess thats a start from a full one. I guess i need be more discipline when it comes to eating if i want to drop a couple of kg.

Anyway, i'm sort of planning my races for next yr. Well it will all be centered around the yr end IMWA ,08. Already signed up for the sing-bi that's happening in march. Currently waiting for the sun down run to open it's online registration. After abit of pushing, i shall sign up for the full marathon. Other races that i plan on doing bintan tri, desaru HIM, sing HIM( not to sure yet)that's 5 for next yr already. I'm sure a few others will pop up along the way where the shitz stirrer will get everyone else to jump aka the ENR group.

Will be going for a short 5km run today at 8. Will be meeting the ENR ppl at F2 for a short run just to keep the legs warm for sunday. Then down to the carbo loading party. Okie i know i'm doing the 21 so no need to carbo load. I'm just there to enjoy the crowd, friendship... The one other thing about this sport of tri's bi's and what have you nots is the great friendship you build along the way with ppl. Have to say thanks to trifam. New race yr is about to begain in 1 months time looking forward to doing more races with all of you!

Bid No. 27201!

Thats my no. for the scsm! Less then a week away. So this will be the last race of the yr for me. Well there is nothing very much after this. To say if i'm ready for it i think i am, but to say if i will finish it in a good time i think not. Been getting lazy over the last few weeks. Like today i have more of a feeling of just wanting to stay at home an veg out rather then go for ENR later. I guess it's been all the going out. Let's see last week it started on thursday with the martel thingy, then friday i know we went out to eat after that we went to Mimolette for a private fing. Saturday was work in the morning, wake boarding in the later afternoon followed by hotpot dinner and then hanging out at haato's. Sunday was lunch with ash and swhing, high tea at christ place then followed by dinner at bedok rd, forgot whats the name of the restaurant already. To end off the weekend we hung out at wala's, wanted to hear mama sing jap song but did not in the end. Man was it one crazy night as i think we ordered a total of 4 water falls and 2 flaming lambo.

So yar all in all i would say i tired out from all the outing which in the last month is more then what i do in a yr. But well i think it's about time i started going out an meeting ppl if not i'll never find anyone i would want to be with ya. hahahaha..... Christmas is like less then a month away.... how fast.... the little elf's will be coming over to do up the house next tuesday and yayaya .. my brother and sister will be back on monday woot! Once again the house would be alive for a short period of time, which would be good.

Okie have to get ready for ENR tonight ... haven done my sit up for the day either .....

one yr an counting!

Okie shoot me, i know it's been awhile since i written. Well life has been good lately. Re did my room, been going out abit to much but who is counting. Spending time more with jie which is good, need to catch up since it's been a long time. Training has been going well as well. HM is less then a month a way. Would be happy doing it in about 2 hr 15 mins if possible. Been doing interval training as well as long runs. Normally tuesdays or wednesday is the days i do my interval training 1.6km slow jog followed by 800m sets. i started out by doing 3 sets now i doing 5 sets. I increase the number with each following week. Man do they really help when i go for my long runs. I use to dread doing my long runs even when training for the HIM but now it's not that bad anymore, i still find that my legs are rather fresh after i finish my runs. Monday swims are still there. That has also been improving. It's like since i don't really have anymore races to train for it's less stressful during training. The only think i lacking right now is touching my bike. Did an ENR ride 3 weeks ago.. man was it painful... i need to start cycling again.

Well on a more important note. It's been 1 yr since mummy got diagnose with leukemia. And how fitting it is that by god's blessing that he gave us good news today. Mum went for her normally weekly check up to see if she was all ready for her last and final chemo session. She came home saying that doc has given her the green light. As in she does not need to go back for anymore chemo. All she needs to do now is to go back for check ups and stuff. So mummy is in remission. It's been a long and hard yr for most of us, more for my dad then me. We have fought the good fight but it is not over yet, but we have certainly reach a mile stone in it. I'd like to thank everyone for their support along the way. The countless prays and blessings that has been given on to us for the pass yr. To the friends that came by to keep my mum company or spend time with us or help us in anyway you are god sent. May god bless you and your family. I for one would love to shout for joy at this very moment. This calls for a mini celebration to come!
Love you all and mostly love you big daddy from above. With you there is always hope and miracles!

Aching Arms!

Had such a tiring swim session yesterday... was not funny... my arms were aching by the time we got in to our 5th set of 200m... which is weird as i normally would be more then able to swim 200x5 , but somehow yesterday my arms did not want to move i blame it to the 2 days of wake boarding. Friday and Saturday that's more combine in the last yr altogether, but i must say it was good to be out at sea feeling the sea breeze socking in the atmosphere was the best part about it all.

Had a really sinful week last week as well, beer beer and more beer plus pork knuckle and all the works, not to say deep fried chicken wings with fires plus more beer. brup think i'm making up for the last time. Since i started training for tri's and shitz i turned my diet around a fair bit acutally. I can sit down watch my friends eat supper and i would not be eatting, for one that loves to eat lol.

Well, would be looking forward to interval training today, haven done any in like 5 months i'm so going to suffer, but somehow this sort of pain i enjoy.

In a long time!

Okie i know it's been awhile since i wrote here, well actually a month. Been kinda of busy and to add lazy hahahaha ..... Did the open water swim today. It's nice to go to an event where you just meet up with people you know doing it. Seems like whatever event you sign up for you will have the same friends doing it as well. Thanks to the spirit i take it. O should i say only triathletes are crazy people enough to sign up for event after event year round. Did the 3km swim today. Which was to be a 3 loop course. Only swam once last week after which i feel ill to the flu bug an was out for the rest of the week till yesterday. Actually even yesterday, i was still abit under it. But having signed up for it was going to do it. Just take it like a relax swim and plus all the people who have donated to the cause i could not let them down as well. Thanks to all those who donated!

Having been so hot and sunny for the last few days, i was half expecting that i would wake up to rain like every other sunday morning so far, but no when i got up this morning it was not raining. Dragged myself out of bed, checked if i was still sniffing from the cold which i was, but thought to myself that after the warm up it would go away. Anyway, after having not been able to do anything for the last 5 days i was really feeling the need to get some workout done. Funny how now adays if you don't do something for more then 2 days one starts to get a bit moody. I've asked a few people an they tend to agree with me. I guess it just does not feel the same body wise. Okie back to the swim. Drove down to F2 reached there about 7am. Meet up with some of the bskl people they were heading off to tuas today as changi coastal has gotten abit mess with all the road works now. So a smoother ride would be to the west. Go west life is peaceful there came to my mind today. Meet up with small circle, jerrywan and awhole lot of other trifam people who where doing the race. All of us were in high spirits. It's like a get together session. My wave was suppose to start at 745 but we did not start till like 810 i think.

POOOOO the horn sound an we were off. Me being in the first wave as the second wave was the second wave was the masters which means people over then 35. Decided to start off at the back of the pack as we all know if you are up front it's either you zoom ahead or be in caught in the human washing machine. SO i slowly made my way over taking people, got in to my stride of things. The first lap went by rather fast i say. All in all i avge about 20mins a km not to bad la. The second lap i was thinking to myself why why lol .. i guess this is where the mental part of it all comes in to play while you are in the middle of any long distance swim you are doing. Switched between breast stroke and free style. Came to the third loop the final last km of the swim, looked at my watch was a little behind the timing i gave myself. So for the last 500 meters or so i decided to up my pace abit. Surprisingly i still had alot in me. I guess all the monday swim sessions paid off. People that over took me now i was over taking them now. All in all it was a good swim. Just that when i got out of the water man no thanks to the salt water i kinda lost my taste buds for awhile and my throat was sore, but after a few bottles of water it was all back to normal again.

All in all i had a good work out after a long time. Tomorrow i can go to the pool an play water as i already did my mileage for the week *wink*
